Dear Colleagues,
On behalf of the European Association of Perinatal Medicine, it is a great pleasure for me to invite you to the XXIInd European Congress of Perinatal Medicine which will takes place in Granada, Spain from 26th to 29th May 2010.
After one of the successful European Congresses of Perinatal Medicine in Istanbul in the year 2008, we are going to surely realize another successful European Congress of Perinatal Medicine in Granada in the year 2010 to exchange the scientific information and challenge between scientists and clinicians from the different countries. With every congress, European Congress of Perinatal Medicine is getting more and more well attendance and satisfied with highly scientific papers and friendly social atmosphere. We had a positive backup from participants to previous congresses and challenged the structure of the scientific programme of the congress. With the lights of these challenges, The President of the Congress, Francisco Montoya and the Chairman of the Scientific Committee, Gian Carlo DiRenzo are preparing an excellent scientific and social programme for Granada Congress. The underlying theme is the perinatal safety and outcome between technologies and clinical practice. There will be plenary sessions running all three mornings, and sessions "Challenge the Speaker" on controversial topics, special lectures together with main speakers and free communications, luncheon session "Meet the Professors", concurrent sessions, sessions for oral communications and posters from different part of Europe and other countries. We are sure that you are going to have very friendly discussions and exchange ideas and share all your scientific works with others who are interested in perinatal medicine.
We also are pleased to welcome our colleagues from the other allied perinatal disciplines: perinatal pathology, genetics, epidemiology, midwifery, neonatal nursing, obstetric anaesthesia, paediatric surgery and all other subspecialties and hope that they benefit from the interdisciplinary sessions.
One of the scientific and educational activities of the European Association of Perinatal Medicine is European School of Perinatal Medicine which is being held regularly every December in Istanbul such as the 3rd - 4th of December 2009. Others are accreditation of training centre in perinatal medicine in Europe, certification for sub-specialists in perinatal medicine, guidelines and recommendations in perinatal medicine, educational activities, training courses, interactive internet forum in the field. I also urge our member national societies to take place on the EAPM website with their national society's webpage to explore their activities and information.
